GLOBAL VILLAGE – an exhibition IRL
at Landshut city-center, Landshut, Germany from 27-6- 2014 till 6-7-2014

This page contains only information about this particulair location. For general information about the whole Global Village project please click on Global Village.

Landshut will be a new location for us, the first in Germany! It’s a small, romantic city in Lower-Bayern, 70 km from München, at the river Isar. Famous for it’s historical city-center and the 4th-annual Landshuter Wedding bringing many tourists to the town.  This lovely medieval city was for hundreds of years the residence of the Wittelsbacher, the Bavarian royal family. The Global Village exhibition in Landshut will be very special because it is at 6 locations throughout the city-center. Making the visitors see next to the contemporary art also the beautiful historical surroundings.

Locations

Café International and Rochuskapelle (Haus International), Orbankai 3-4
Galerie 561, Kramergasse 561
Rathausgalerien,  Altstadt 315
LITVAI, Galerie für Fotografie, Altstadt 69  (Zugang nur über Ländgasse 135a)
Röcklturm, Isarpromenade 2
Produzentengalerie Landshut, Seligenthaler Strasse 22 (Eingang Stethaimer Str.)

Café International will be our meeting point, not only for the artists, but also for the public. As that will be the starting point for guided tours and an information center about the event. Artists can have joined meals there and the curators presentation will be given there.

Organisation
To make this event into a big success we need a strong organisation. And we are proud that we can organise the Landshut Global Village in cooperation with: Haus International and Richard Lang. Haus International has many experiences in organising international events in Landshut and Richard Lang has been the director of the Goethe Institut in many parts of the world for over 30 years.
